Located adjacent to Shipyards Park, this four-storey wood frame building is comprised of 48 suites designed to accommodate a higher level of mobility and support for aging in-place seniors. Of those, 10 suites are fully barrier-free. Amenities within the building include common meeting spaces, secure storage, and common roof decks.

Gabled roofing, deck guardrail treatment and canopies make this building more relatable to residential houses, reducing its visual scale. Using such architectural language decreases the sense of the building being an institutional space and gives it a sense of home.

This project was a design/build development with NGC Builders Ltd. for Yukon Housing Corporation and was designed with Thibodeau Architecture + Design.
